Free adult lines - Validating identity windows wireless

I am not sure what to do next as there seems to be something in the computer that is not set up correctly. Then it asks for my Network authetication and the options are Open, shared, or WPA. I went ahead and used no encryption for my router and then the D Link USB adapter was able to connect.

Again, please keep their identity a secret Click on the "Continue" button search with your zip/postal code.

Ok so I setup the router to only transmit wireless N and to use WPA2 only.

Anyway, the problem at my house and other locations I have been to, is that when my Windows XP machine tries to connect to a wireless network, it just sits there saying "Validating Identity".

There is some checkbox in the properties window that I now have to uncheck it seems in order to get this resolved, but even then, it doesn't always work.

Edit: since you have just reformatted the xp machine.

ensure that the wireless drivers are updated to the latest version.I changed the settings for the wireless connection from "obtain IP/DNS Automatically" and put in the various addresses...IP – 192.168.1.10Subnet – 255.255.255.0Default Gateway – 192.168.1.1 DNS – 192.231.203.132 I can connect to the wireless network using these settings, but I have no internet...The weird part is that I was using WPA TKIP with the passphrase and it was working fine.I moved the selection tab to WPA2 only and keep the rest the same and no luck. Ok so I setup the router to only transmit wireless N and to use WPA2 only. When I try to connect using the windows zero configuration utility it gets stuck validating identity.
